Up Enhances Patented Wash Light System
Traditional
aircraft lighting issues have included fragile bulbs with
associated breakage/repair, high voltage requirements, EMI/RFI
interference and a high cost of ownership. Solving those issues
led Heads Up to develop the now patented ‘Thermal
Channel’ design.
LED’s
have a maximum electrical efficiency of 30%, so effective
management of waste heat is critical. In addition to providing
excellent thermal management, this design integrates ESD protection
and offers rugged packaging for extended durability. Taking
this proven packaging approach,  Heads
Up now offers both Standard and new Super-Bright LED’s
as alternatives for wash lighting solutions. Super-Bright
systems offer a significant advancement in total light output
while both systems provide 0-100% dimming, individual intensity
tuning and most importantly, consistency in color. Warm and
cool colors are available.
