Objectives of this Role
​

Daily activities associated with assisting manufacturing personnel with the build, test, delivery, etc., of a wide variety of electrical components used in the commercial aircraft industry.

Interface with customers, outside contractors and suppliers.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications
​
-
Applicable Manufacturing Technology Degree (BS or Associate Degree); Engineering (e.g. BSEE, BSME) considered a plus.

5 + years experience related to the manufacturing assembly and/or testing of electrical products. Including PCB/PWA assembly, top-level product assembly, test fixture design/build, unit test, formal Acceptance Testing.

Experience working with individuals having a variety of skill sets related to the manufacturing of electrical components.

Microsoft Outlook – basic familiarity with Groupware programs.

Microsoft Office – reasonable proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Viso.

Strong problem-solving skills relating to software design.

Logical thought processes, excellent attention to details.

Ability to conceptualize and implement innovative cost-effective solutions to meet build delivery schedules.

Ability to multi-task.

Positive interpersonal skills dealing with co-workers, suppliers and customers.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Formal Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing training.

Experience with any Engineering toolset (e.g. Solid Edge, OrCAD).

Understanding of design methodologies and processes for injection molding, sheet metal, and machined part design.

Ability to provide technical leadership/guidance to team members.

Ability to work well independently in a loosely structured environment.

Knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures and cost reduction techniques.

Knowledge of Manufacturing Test techniques.
