Position: Software Engineer

Objectives of this Role

​

• Design and development of microprocessor and/or DSP based electronic products/systems.

• Development of engineering prototypes and production designs from concept through manufacturing release. 

• Participate in hardware/software integration of multiple system components.

 

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

​

• BSCS or BSEE or equivalent.

• Microsoft Outlook – basic familiarity with Groupware programs.

• Microsoft Office – reasonable proficiency in Excel, Word, etc.

• Strong problem-solving skills relating to software design.

• Logical thought processes, excellent attention to details.

• Ability to conceptualize and implement innovative electrical engineering solutions requiring aggressive completion schedules.

• Ability to multi-task.

• Positive interpersonal skills dealing with co-workers, etc.

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

​

• Experience with Assembly (e.g. ARM9).

• Experience with Linux OS tools.

• Familiarity with FAA and/or MilSpec requirements.

• Familiarity with DO-178C.

• Experience with hardware diagnostic tools including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.

• Understanding of software design methodologies and processes.

• Experience and an understanding of software design test/verification techniques, including system integration. (hardware/software/mechanical) of multiple components.

• Ability to work well independently in a loosely structured environment.
