Cabin Management Systems (CMS) and In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) are at the heart of the passenger’s air travel experience. The user interface is the primary means by which the passenger interacts with their environment including controlling lights, cabin temperature, window shades, audio levels, and media.

In 2009, Heads Up developed the first end-to-end fiber optic CMS/IFE system for the Cessna CX+ and Sovereign+. Ever since then, Heads Up has been at the forefront of developing and delivering top of the line Cabin Management and In-Flight entertainment systems and components to our Aviation OEM partners. Our systems have been selected for eight aircraft production programs and our components are standard or optional on many more platforms.

Component Solutions
We offer a variety of cabin switches to aircraft OEMs using capacitive touch, membrane, or traditional mechanical technologies. Backlighting can match the color temperature of the cabin. Our switches provide the visual appearance, tactile feel, and finish to compliment the overall cabin design.
Cabin Switches
Aircraft seating is critical to passenger comfort and becomes even more important on long trips. We offer switches for manual and powered seats that can adjust the lumbar support, leg rest, seat back angle, seat pan positions, and seat track and swivel.
Seat Switches
Fiber optics for data transmission offers numerous benefits over copper including higher bandwidth, lighter weight and zero electromagnetic interference. Lumin is native fiber optic, with a full featured fiber optic router/switch for the ultimate in flexibility. No more point-to-point limitations. Our router/switch is scalable for easy integration into any aircraft size. Models with twelve (12), twenty four (24), and thirty six (36) optical ports are available. Our design approach supports an even larger number of optical ports if required. Up to six (6) Copper Ethernet ports are provided to support third party equipment.

Lumin® Switch Panels
Tablets and smart phones have become ubiquitous, constantly adding new capabilities to our everyday life. Your customers can control their home’s lighting, temperature, entertainment systems and more with their smart phone. Lumin Wireless lets passengers enjoy that same functionality onboard their aircraft. Simply logon to the aircraft’s WiFi and control everything with a smart phone or tablet with a user interface that compliments the aircraft’s fixed touch screens and switches.

Cabin Display Monitors
Our I/O concentrator converts fiber optic data signals to communicate with other aircraft electrical systems such as lighting, environmental controllers, window shades, hot water tanks, third party audio amplifiers, and more. I/O concentrators are semi-autonomous, allowing fault tolerant operation.

We offer both 2D and FlightPath3D moving maps to keep passengers informed about their flight progress. High resolution maps provide excellent terrain detail, geopolitical boundaries, major streets and highways and more. Flight information, such as altitude, airspeed, and time of arrival, enhances the passenger's experience. Cabin monitors display customizable slideshows or static views.
