Objectives of this Role
​

Design/Develop electrical prototypes and production units utilizing an electrical design cycle which includes concept/details design (schematic capture and PCB layout).

Test, System Integration and Manufacturing Release.

Assess, Create and Collaborate product technologies including microprocessors/microcontrollers, FPGAs, analog circuitry (switching power supplies, etc.) audio/visual data compression and encryption, 802.3 fiber optic-based networks, 802.11 wireless networks, LED lighting systems, etc.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Microsoft Outlook – basic familiarity with Groupware programs.

Microsoft Office – reasonable proficiency in Excel, Word, etc.

Strong problem-solving skills relating to electrical design.

Logical thought processes, excellent attention to details.

Ability to conceptualize and implement innovative electrical engineering solutions.

Ability to multi-task.

Positive interpersonal skills dealing with co-workers, etc.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Schematic Capture and PCB Routing Software – experience with orCAD/Allegro or similar product considered a plus. Will be required to use OrCAD/Allergro.

FPGA design/tool experience.

Electro-optical design experience.

Familiarity with FAA and/or MilSpec requirements.

Experience with hardware diagnostic tools including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.

Ability to work well independently in a loosely structured environment.
