Position: Manufacturing Supervisor, Lighting Assembly

This position is responsible for the leadership of the 1st shift P22 cell.  We are looking for a manufacturing professional with expertise in Manufacturing Operations, who will monitor manufacturing operations by developing action plans regarding cell performance and productivity. You’ll be well versed in multiple Operations disciplines, and responsible for significant improvements to Operations processes and systems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Facilitates electrical-mechanical assembly, testing, and inspection to ensure customer on-time delivery and quality.  Drive, track, and manage all work in process (WIP) and finished goods (FG) in the work cell.

• Establishes daily/weekly/monthly goals for assigned areas.  Update daily reports and action plans with latest status and issues.  Analyzes orders and forecasts to ensure team is properly staffed and has equipment required to meet demands.

• Leads and champions operational excellence, lean manufacturing initiatives, and continuous improvements.  Develops recommendations for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

•  Interfaces with supply chain and logistics teams to resolve inventory shortages, cycle count variances, and manage supplies.  Performs ERP transactions as necessary.

• Participates in R&D, new product design efforts, and sustaining engineering efforts.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications​

• Associate’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field

• Experience in manufacturing environment: electrical or mechanical. 
  – Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.

• Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word

• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications​

​

• Aerospace manufacturing, LED lighting, soldering, PCB/PCBA, SMT, or engineering experience is preferred.

• Experience leading direct reports is preferred.
